The sound reinforcement system of the "Expoforum" complex has been designed and installed by DNK specilists. The motorized screen, the biggest in Europe, was installed. The use of the latest audio and multimedia technologies made it possible to equip one of the world's largest congress and exhibition centers in a very short time.
DNK Corporation specialists were tasked to install a screen for video projection and film representation, as well as the sound reinforcement system, which should ensure the collection, selective routing and amplification of phonograms and the final audio mixes for the four halls during conferences, round tables, presentations and exhibitions.
One of the main features of the project is how the sound control system has been originally modeled and elegantly introduced into the overall structure of the complex. The technological solution was developed by DNK Corporation engineers taking into account all the modern trends in the development of the multimedia technologies. The ability of the sound reinforcement system to provide the selective routing of audio signals to 13 zones was realized. This is necessary since the halls of the convention center are transformers and can be divided into separate sections.
Each hall has its own sound area, located behind the auditorium. These rooms are equipped with the technological furniture, the workplaces for the sound engineer, operator and engineers are organized. There are audio mixing and processing systems, signal collection and routing terminals, and phonogram playback devices.
Besides the equipment of the workstations in the sound area, the electroacoustic system of the halls is also a part of the general sound reinforcement system, which consists of a set of loudspeakers, power amplifiers and processor-controllers. Reception and distribution of audio signals is carried out through a network of terminals of a single system of collection and routing, which is built on a ring topology for long-distance signal transmission over twisted-pair cables. In case of an alert signal from the alarm system, the volume of the broadcast sound automatically decreases.
The composition and number of loudspeakers of the electroacoustic system of the auditoriums was determined by the computer simulation using the specialized software.
Another distinctive feature of the project was the installation of the motorized screen, the largest in Europe; the visible part of its canvas is 10x24 meters. The screen Harkness Clarus XC 220 Perfo was supplied by Dcinex, a part of the Ymagis Group holding (http://www.ymagis.com/en/). The installation of the system was carried out jointly with the engineers of DNK Corporation. As a result, the halls of the international conventional center are equipped with modern, digital equipment for the formation of sound programs, presentations, press conferences and other public, business and exhibition events of any level and scale.
Project Result
The motorized screen is the largest in Europe. The newest coverage of the fourth generation provides a wide field of view and allows demonstrating content in 2D and 3D formats.
